Project Safe Touch

Statistics on abuse still to this day astound me. Physical, mental, and sexual abuse are all very serious issues. Many people who have been subjected to abuse have a well-justified aversion to touch. Massage is a way of complementing psychological therapy and counseling for persons who are dealing with this side effect of abuse. Clients are always encouraged to disrobe to THEIR level of comfort and request where they are able to handle being touched. Since massage is non-sexual and non-confrontational, clients respond better knowing they are in a safe atmosphere. Although our on-staff therapists are female, those who would seek a male for treatment can contact our office and we can refer to a male therapist in the area. Remember men, women, and children can all be victims of abuse and all records are confidential. To refer a patient to us for therapy, or if you are a potential client and want more information, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail. We have a special payment arrangement for clients enrolled in this program.
